Position Overview
Lead planning, execution, coordination, and technical assurance for wind turbine generator commissioning on utility-scale wind power projects.
Ensure WTG mechanical, electrical, control, protection, and grid-interface systems are safely commissioned and ready for reliable operation and handover.
Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, statutory regulations, and grid codes before handover.
Engineering and Pre-Commissioning Planning
- Review engineering inputs related to grid compliance, WTG controller limits, and machine-specific challenges.
- Participate in factory acceptance test reviews for WTG control and protection systems where applicable.
- Develop WTG commissioning procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate commissioning sequence planning with EPC contractors, OEMs, and grid operators.
Mechanical and Electrical Commissioning
- Supervise and verify mechanical erection, torquing, alignment, and lubrication.
- Supervise and verify installation of LV and MV electrical systems, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Ensure readiness of pitch and yaw drives, hydraulic and lubrication systems, and emergency and service power supplies.
