Manager Technical Purchasing

Accountable for leading and executing purchasing activities related to MRO, CAPEX, technical materials, and operational requirements. The role ensures the timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services that support operational reliability, efficiency, and project delivery, while driving cost optimization, compliance, and alignment with company policies.

MRO & Technical Purchasing

Lead purchasing of spare parts, consumables, tools, and technical services required for plant maintenance and operations.

Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to confirm technical specifications and fit-for-purpose materials.

Build and manage relationships with OEMs and critical suppliers to ensure supply continuity.

Evaluate technical and commercial bids and coordinate with end users to ensure quality compliance.

CAPEX Purchasing

Manage end-to-end procurement activities for CAPEX projects, including machinery, equipment, and high-value technical services.

Coordinate with Engineering and Finance teams to ensure alignment with specifications, budgets, and project timelines.

Negotiate contracts and monitor deliveries to minimize risks and delays.

Project Purchasing & Support

Handle procurement for project-related materials and services not classified as CAPEX.

Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle by aligning procurement activities with milestones.

Track procurement progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Supplier Management & Compliance

Develop and maintain supplier partnerships in line with quality, delivery, and contractual requirements.

Conduct supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Cost Optimization & Process Excellence

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and technical standards.

Improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.

Report on procurement KPIs, savings, supplier performance, and lead-time improvements.

People Management

Lead, coach, and develop procurement-related team members.

Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.

Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Policies, Systems & Reporting

Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement-related policies and procedures.

Ensure accurate usage of SAP and related systems for reporting, tracking, and operational visibility.

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (equivalent experience will be considered).

5+ years of relevant experience, with flexibility depending on role scope and performance.

Arabic,English: Advanced (or strong working proficiency).
