Reporting to the Registrar, the Manager, Student Financial Support Services is accountable for the administration and delivery of programs designed to provide financial support to students, including government-sponsored programs and College scholarships, award and bursary programs, in addition to operational direction and guidance on fees and related functions within the Registrar’s Office The incumbent enhances the recruitment, conversion, retention, and academic success of students by ensuring that the Student Financial Support Services Office is centered on utilizing all avenues of student financial support available. The Manager is a key position in supporting the College’s strategic plan to offer a learner-driven personalized education experience and works closely with the Registrar and other administrative colleagues to ensure a cohesive learner-driven service approach as well as supporting the College’s strategic plan to achieve College enrolment and financial goals. The Manager is responsible for the supervision, leadership and facilitation of a multi-disciplined work team to ensure that students receive the highest quality support and guidance. The Manager co-ordinates the development and implementation of new financial support services policies and procedures, ensuring that continuous process improvements occur within financial Support service processes to meet the ever-changing expectations of internal and external clients. The Manager interprets and administers Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security Binding Policy Directives and Procedures regarding fees. The incumbent is responsible to ensure college activities eligible for funding comply with the Ministry’s binding fee policy directives and is the main resource for the college community (including faculty, staff and students). Accountable for the timely reporting of student financial need, application, and disbursement data to the College community and to MCURES ensuring effective use of funding opportunities. The Manager integrates and implements a variety of systems to support the administrative objectives ensuring security and integrity of systems’ confidential data. The Manager is responsible for transforming and improving business processes and experiences for both students and Student Financial Support Services staff. The Manager will also develop and implement organizational change management strategies, tools and practices that leverage best practices and enable successful transformation and adoption of new business strategies, processes and systems.
