Role Overview
Support Algonquin College’s cloud adoption strategy through cloud solution development, implementation, maintenance, administration, and technical support.
Perform business analysis, technical advising, planning, and operational work for Microsoft enterprise solutions and integrations.
Apply object-oriented programming, full-stack development, cloud design patterns, and application and database security practices.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from internal clients and implement solutions, configurations, and code changes.
- Document system architecture, configuration, and administrative processes.
- Maintain and optimize existing solutions, development frameworks, and development processes.
- Provide technical advice, training, guidance, and direction to administrative, academic, and end users.
- Guide other development staff in integrating systems and sharing information across business units.
- Monitor Microsoft Azure changes and make recommendations to the team lead, architect, and manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three-year diploma or degree in business, computer science, or a related information technology field.
- At least eight years of IT experience in business analysis, project management, and/or custom solution development.
- At least two years of the required experience must be in Azure application development.
- Experience with APIs, web services, service bus or service-layer development, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Graph API, cloud analytics, Power BI, system upgrades, customizations, documentation, coding, testing, and defect support.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft .NET technology, including ASP.NET and C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Studio are required.
- Azure certification options listed include AZ-900, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, Google Cloud, or IEEE CSDP.
Workplace
- The position is eligible for hybrid work under the College’s Flexible Work Arrangement Policy.
- The position is not eligible for fully remote work, and hybrid arrangements depend on operational requirements and responsibilities.
Compensation
- The salary range is $48.07 to $55.57 per hour.
- The scheduled work week is 36.25 hours.
