Manager Software Engineering

Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and productivity.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and business leaders, to define project goals, scope, and priorities.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Oversee code reviews, quality assurance processes, and best practices adherence.

Address and resolve project-related issues, risks, and escalations.

Provide regular project status updates to upper management and stakeholders.

Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions about technology adoption within the team.

A minimum of 10+ years of object-oriented design/development required, Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment. Should have led a team of developers/ Sr Developers and Leads (8 to 10) working on the below technologies: JavaScript (vue.js, Angular - React an asset) Java and SQL programming languages REST- and SOAP-based services Docker, Istio, Kubernetes, Tetrate Service Bridge container hosting platforms AWS Cloud Nice to have Apigee or equivalent API Gateway platform Confluent Kafka or Apache ActiveMQ eventing platform
