Manager Software Development Engineer in Test

Our Storage Team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's cloud storage platform for Linode. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. We provide a scalable and secure storage solution for Linode's customers to build their businesses.

As an Engineering Manager you will lead a team building highly usable, reliable and scalable storage solutions. Our platform empowers enterprises to create modern solutions to the world's problems.

As a Manager Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

Managing and developing the team through hiring, training, coaching and mentoring

Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team

Participating in technical design, product specifications reviews, projects and backlog planning

Planning your team's sprints, collaborating with Team Leads and your management peers

Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis

To be successful in this role you will:

Have relevant experience managing and maintaining high performing engineering teams

Have extensive experience in an SDET role, testing software in a distributed, micro-services environment with a depth of experience using Python and Golang

Build reliable, deterministic, and effective functional and non-functional test suites within a CI/CD/CT environment, showcasing proven expertise and experience.

Have good knowledge of object storage and block storage technologies within cloud environments
