Technical Program Manager II

Our Technical Program Managers lead programs and initiatives across the Cloud division from concept to market. We align product, engineering, and business teams to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Technical Program Managers play a vital role in Akamai's success, leading projects and creating processes to enhance performance. This position focuses on supporting Infrastructure, Engineering, and Operations programs, delivering tailored data center projects for customers.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

Leading cross-functional teams : Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations and support the product roadmap

Analyzing risks and developing contingency plans early, with real focus to keep program timelines

Identifying and communicating backlog of work with key stakeholders, guiding them in priorities based on business needs

Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods

Maintaining and iterating on a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a High School / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

Have 5 years of experience working with Network Infrastructure and Cloud Technologies / data center or connectivity deployment projects

Have an experience working with JIRA and Confluence

Have an experience in identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones

Be able to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability

Have good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills needed to work across global constituencies.
