About This Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Director, Supply Planning, the Manager of Deployment Planning is responsible for leading the deployment planning function, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of daily deployment activities, and managing third party warehouse (3PW) operations.
  • This role will oversee a team of 5 deployment planners, maintain key supply chain processes, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel associated with this role will be approximately 5 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of 5 deployment planners, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and results driven team culture.
  • Ensure daily deployment processes are executed accurately and on time in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Oversee 3PW operations, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and operational standards such as approving invoices and requesting overtime requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and external warehouse partners.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Update sourcing matrix in Blue Yonder to reflect accurate sourcing decisions.
  • Update master data as required.
  • Update BP sourcing matrix as part of annual budgeting process.
  • Maintain and update space tracking data as part of the monthly Supply Review process.
  • Support 'Out of Matrix' analysis to address sourcing exceptions and optimize supply chain decisions.
  • Monitor key metrics related to deployment accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, including in a managerial position.
  • Professional expertise has been gained with a manufacturer or distributor for a host of industries. Food or beverage industries are of interest.
  • Knowledge of best practices and systems in supply chain.
  • Should possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
