Responsibilities
- Lead end to end Procure to Pay process including RFQ, PO creation, and supplier engagement
- Oversee expediting, service confirmation, GRN/SES posting, and invoice alignment
- Manage internal and outsourced teams to ensure high volume P2P execution
- Resolve high level conflicts and disputes with end users and suppliers
- Lead vendor onboarding process ensuring compliance and risk assessment
- Oversee material master data creation, modification, and retirement
- Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation in procurement
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements

- Experience in operational procurement and supply chain management
- Strong leadership and people development skills
- Deep knowledge of SAP and P2P processes
- Experience in vendor onboarding and materials cataloguing

Role Overview
- The Manager Operational Procurement leads the end to end Procure to Pay process and oversees expediting, vendor onboarding, materials cataloguing, and outsourced services.
Leadership & People Development
- Develop, implement, and govern departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide clear direction to managers and ensure adherence to governance model.
- Establish objectives and performance standards for teams.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high calibre talent.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high performance environment.
- Maintain clear job roles and segregation of duties.
Operational Procurement & Supply Chain Services
- Lead and manage end to end Procure to Pay process.
- Oversee critical P2P functions including expediting, service confirmation, GRN/SES posting, invoice alignment.
- Ensure reliable on time delivery of materials and services.
- Provide leadership to internal and outsourced teams.
- Resolve high level conflicts and disputes.
- Ensure Operational Procurement supports Category Management.
- Foster cross functional alignment with Smelter Operations, ATA Refinery, Finance, Supply Chain.
- Lead expediting function for reliable supplier delivery.
- Implement proactive supplier engagement and risk detection.
- Strengthen supplier accountability through dashboards and KPIs.
- Provide strategic oversight of vendor onboarding process.
- Lead end to end material master process.
Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee accurate and timely reporting across procurement functions.
- Support executive decision making through dashboards and analytics.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply reliability and data integrity.
Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement
- Apply deep SAP and process knowledge to re engineer workflows.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Excellence to standardise processes.
- Drive system readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Decision Making & Influencing Skills
- Demonstrate strong decision making in fast paced environments.
- Influence senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Legal.
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers and cross functional teams.
- Balance operational urgency with compliance and risk.
