Job Summary
Sulzer is seeking a manager to lead the site Maintenance function for operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
The role provides reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance services and supervises professional-level staff.
The job profile is intended for people managers of four or more professional-level roles.
Job Purpose and Accountabilities
- Create planned maintenance schedules and oversee timely completion of maintenance work.
- Improve operational effectiveness, project delivery, mean time between failures, and downtime reduction.
- Delegate maintenance issues and small projects to the appropriate team members and manage effective execution.
- Manage machine availability and coordinate reactive machinery repairs with shift management.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Manage new machinery, plant, and equipment from specification and supplier coordination through installation.
- Manage contractors on site and ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- The role offers learning opportunities across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation work in two manufacturing units.
