- Lead planning, execution, and completion of external audits for clients dealing in digital and virtual assets.
- Develop audit strategies tailored to crypto asset risks, including valuation, existence, ownership, and custody.
- Review and challenge audit workpapers, ensuring compliance with ISA, IFRS, and firm methodology.
- Assess controls and processes over blockchain transactions, wallet management, and private key security.
- Evaluate accounting treatment of crypto assets, tokens, staking, and related transactions.
- Address complex audit issues, escalating key risks to the Partner and proposing practical solutions.
- Ensure all engagements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert on digital asset audit engagements across the firm.
- Interpret blockchain data, transaction flows, and on chain audit evidence.
- Coordinate with IT audit, data analytics, and specialist teams where required.
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, building strong relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
- Manage, coach, and review work of Senior Associates and Associates.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- At least five years of external audit experience within an international professional service firm
- Hands on experience auditing digital assets, crypto exchanges, or blockchain based businesses
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS (including treatment of digital assets), ISA and audit methodology, blockchain fundamentals and transaction flows
- Experience working with complex and technical audit engagements
- Additional certifications in blockchain, fintech, or IT audit (preferred but not required)

- As a Manager specialising in digital and virtual assets, you will lead and deliver external audit engagements for clients operating in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital asset ecosystem.
Audit Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and completion of external audits for clients dealing in digital and virtual assets.
- Develop audit strategies tailored to crypto asset risks, including valuation, existence, ownership, and custody.
- Review and challenge audit workpapers, ensuring compliance with ISA, IFRS, and firm methodology.

Digital Asset Specialism
- Act as a subject matter expert on digital asset audit engagements across the firm.
- Interpret blockchain data, transaction flows, and on chain audit evidence.
- Coordinate with IT audit, data analytics, and specialist teams where required.
- Remain up to date with evolving standards, including crypto related accounting guidance and regulatory expectations (e.g., DFSA, VARA where applicable).
- Support development of audit methodologies specific to digital assets and emerging technologies.
Client Management & Business Development
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, building strong relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
- Present audit findings and insights clearly to senior client stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within digital asset and fintech sectors.
- Support proposals, pitches, and growth initiatives for the digital asset audit practice.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Manage, coach, and review work of Senior Associates and Associates.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support professional development of team members.
- Allocate resources across engagements and ensure efficient utilisation.
- Foster a high performance culture, particularly in complex and fast evolving engagements.
Requirements
