Role Overview
Jobber is seeking a Manager, Data Engineering to join its Data organization and lead the Data Integration team.
The team supports data ingestion, activation, platform administration, self-service tooling, data integrity, and governance across Data and ML platforms.
The Role
- Lead a team of data engineers while partnering with a Technical Program Manager on priorities and quarterly roadmaps.
- Manage performance, individual growth, delivery quality, hiring, team scaling, and technical decisions.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of scalable, resilient, observable, governed, and cost-efficient data infrastructure.
- Partner across engineering, analytics, and go-to-market teams to deliver quality product data and workflow automation.
- Use AI tools to improve data strategy, experimentation, and the effectiveness of the Data organization.
Success Profile
- Proven engineering team management experience with delivery of high-quality software and data solutions.
- Strong foundation in distributed data systems, orchestration, cloud infrastructure, performance tuning, scaling, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on systems design and SQL experience, with knowledge of data modeling, governance, and quality management.
- Experience with observability, SLAs, disaster recovery, and reliable, compliant data systems.
