Strategic Leadership and Innovation (Applications & Innovations Focus)

• Define and champion the organizational Data & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall IT & Digitalization roadmap and the Associate Director’s innovation mandates.
• Lead the team in treating data and analytical outputs as products, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and integrated directly into business applications.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and BI Developers, fostering a culture of innovation, data literacy, and technical excellence.
• Proactively evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (AI/ML platforms, new data visualization tools, cloud services) that can enhance the speed and impact of analytical insights.

Data Architecture and Engineering Oversight

• Oversee the architecture, design, and continuous optimization of the cloud-based data platform (Data Warehouse, Data Lake).
• Direct the development and maintenance of robust, high-quality data ingestion and transformation pipelines to integrate data from diverse source systems into the centralized warehouse.
• Establish best practices for dimensional modelling and data marts to ensure data is optimized for efficient reporting, analysis, and application consumption.
• Partner with the IT Governance team to establish and enforce data quality standards, meta-data management, lineage tracking, and compliance.

Business Intelligence and Analytical Enablement

• Own the corporate Business Intelligence platform, managing user access, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Serve as a strategic partner to key business units, translating complex business questions into clear analytical requirements and defining success metrics.
• Drive the adoption of self-service BI capabilities across the organization through training, development of certified data sources, and promoting data literacy.
• Oversee projects involving statistical analysis, machine learning (ML) model development, and implementation, ensuring results are communicated clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Data & Analytics, with at least 3 years managing technical teams and data platforms.
• Expertise with a major Cloud Data Warehouse platform (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift).
• Strong background in SQL, data modelling, and experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran, DBT, Informatica).
• Proven experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities through data and a proven track record of moving analytical concepts from prototype to production application.
