Job Purpose
Achieve the team’s monthly collection target while minimizing risk exposure for the assigned book.
Understand clients’ finance requirements and resolve complex collection obstacles.
Debtor and Collection Reports
- Review debtor reports and arrange communication with clients about past dues and forthcoming instalments.
- Lead weekly debtor meetings with the collection team to ensure collection targets are met.
- Follow up on warnings issued to clients and ensure collection.
- Liaise with credit control about monthly collection forecasts.
CollectSmart and Enhancements
- Ensure all collection activities are accurately updated in CollectSmart under each account according to policies and procedures.
- Promote digitalization and automation to replace manual processes and improve efficiency.
People Management
- Manage the collection and lead chaser team.
- Ensure team objectives are followed and measured semi-annually.
- Support headcount phasing according to the annual operating plan.
- Conduct interviews and ensure hiring aligns with company values and talent requirements.
