Role overview
Lead structural erection, mechanical installation, EOT crane, and coil transfer car activities in a cold rolling mill plant.
The role covers safe and timely execution, commissioning support, maintenance, contractor management, and plant reliability.
Qualifications and experience
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in a steel plant, cold rolling mill, rolling mill, or heavy engineering industry.
- Strong experience in structural erection and mechanical installation.
- Hands-on experience with EOT cranes and coil transfer cars.
Required technical skills
- Knowledge of structural drawings, fabrication, welding, bolting, alignment, and heavy lifting.
- Experience in project execution, shutdowns, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of lifting plans, safety procedures, and work-at-height requirements.
- Experience in contractor and manpower management.
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
Structural erection
- Manage erection of plant structures, platforms, galleries, walkways, staircases, ladders, handrails, pipe racks, operating floors, and equipment supports.
