Manager, AML Analytics - Financial Engineering & Modeling

Candidate Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in AML, financial crime analytics, model risk management, quantitative modeling, or a related field.
• A Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
• Extensive experience with AML model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, model performance, threshold optimization, segmentation, and outcome analysis.
• Experience with end-to-end model validation, including replication testing, sensitivity analysis, benchmarking, and reporting.
• Knowledge of model risk frameworks and financial crime regulations including SR 11-7, OSFI E-23, FINTRAC, BSA/AML, OFAC, FinCEN, FCA, and EU AMLD.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, SAS, R, or similar technologies, with large datasets.
• Knowledge of banking products, customer behavior, and financial crime typologies.
• Experience with regulatory exams, audits, remediation, governance, or assurance is desirable.
• Ability to lead engagements, manage teams, mentor practitioners, and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
• Relevant financial institution, regulator, model risk, analytics, or professional services experience.
• CAMS, CFCS, CFE, FRM, or PRM certification is considered an asset.

Compensation

• The salary range is CAD 101,000 to CAD 169,000.
• Individuals may be eligible to participate in a bonus program.
