Overview
The Maintenance Technician will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring of Cut & Bend machines and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance (PM), and condition monitoring of Cut & Bend machines and associated equipment.
- Execute breakdown maintenance with quick fault identification to minimize production downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: control panels, motors, drives (VFDs), sensors, limit switches, encoders.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems: gearboxes, bearings, chains, couplings, rollers, straightening units.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
- Carry out alignment, lubrication, tightening, and calibration activities for optimal machine performance.
- Support installation, commissioning, and trial runs of new machines or upgraded systems.
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities to supervisors with proper documentation.
- Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and daily reports in line with plant requirements.
- Ensure availability and proper usage of tools, spares, and consumables.
- Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures during maintenance work.
- Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance without impacting output targets.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Experience with electrical systems: control panels, motors, drives (VFDs), sensors, limit switches, encoders.
- Experience with mechanical systems: gearboxes, bearings, chains, couplings, rollers, straightening units.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures during maintenance work.
