Company Overview

Founded in 1912, Nehring Electrical Works has been producing wire and cable products longer than any wire mill in the Midwest. Nehring manufactures and markets bare/insulated copper and aluminum wire to the utility, telecommunication, electrical distribution and OEM markets.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will play an integral role in sustaining and improving Nehring’s equipment and overall production processes. The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on, working foreman position that spends the majority of their time on the shop floor. The successful candidate will handle the following responsibilities:

Coordinate with Operations team and outside contractors to schedule maintenance activities and manage/reduce machine downtime

Drive and improve preventative maintenance (PM) process

Manage multiple projects with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

Drive continuous improvement projects and identify opportunities for Capex

Identify and implement actions to improve workplace safety and reduce environmental impact

Demonstrate a sense of urgency to achieve company commitments and goals

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates or 2-year technical degree preferred
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge.
  • Must be proficient in technology and software such ERP systems, AutoCAD, Minitab, Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g. Limble)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to speak/interpret Spanish a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
