Maintenance Supervisor

· In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, co-ordinate all maintenance tasks, supervise, delegate, and prioritise duties to ensure the smooth running of the department

· Maintain and preserve the internal and external structure of the building

· Liaise and co-ordinate with contractors on work to be carried out under contract agreements

· Ensure that contractors are aware of their responsibilities while on the premises and are informed of health and safety requirements, e.g. fire regulations, fire exits, hazardous substances

· Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular, H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety

· Be responsible for the day to day Health and Safety issues within the property

· Satisfy the relevant educational requirements needed in order to effectively carry out your health and safety duties

· Communicate effectively and appropriately in all directions so that the team understands its goals and is motivated to achieve them

· Ensure that the works carried out are to the standards required. Take Report if any contractor recommended follow up work and resolve immediately

· Keep managers informed of any major defects in the building, plan or equipment which could affect the successful running of the property
