Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Writer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- The Writer will develop clear, accurate, and engaging content about MEDSI’s medical services, preventive care programs, and patient focused initiatives for various channels, including websites, brochures, social media, and internal communications.
- Day to day tasks include researching medical and healthcare topics, interviewing subject matter experts, drafting and revising patient friendly materials, and adapting content for different audiences and formats.
- The Writer will collaborate closely with medical staff, marketing, and communications teams to ensure content is medically accurate, compliant with internal guidelines, and aligned with brand voice.
- The role also involves proofreading, fact checking, and maintaining consistent terminology and messaging across all written materials.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with the capacity to produce clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Experience writing in healthcare, medical, or scientific contexts, with the ability to translate complex information into accessible language.
- Proficiency in research and fact checking, including reviewing medical sources, guidelines, and expert feedback to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to adapt tone and style for different formats such as web pages, patient leaflets, social media posts, newsletters, and internal documents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working closely with clinicians, marketing professionals, and leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Literature, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills relevant to the region are an advantage.
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic digital publishing tools is a plus.
