• Always maintains safe work practices and participates in safety programs. Assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups. Abides by all company work, safety, and hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. Â
• Performs routine and/or non-routine tasks established by the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Team Leader Maintenance, Velocity Maintenance Lead, Team Leader Area Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Production, and the Maintenance Lead. Â
• May be required to perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision. Â
• Keeps documentation up to date. Â
• Accurately tracks time spent working on tasks throughout the day. Â
• Familiar with proper start-up and shut down of production equipment. Â
• Performs equipment repair, overhaul, and troubleshooting of mechanical and technical equipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, etc. Â
• Evaluates equipment for performance, performs adjustments, replaces parts, etc. as needed to assure uninterrupted production of quality potato products. Â
• Performs structurally-sound welds and acceptable cutting, using appropriate cutting and welding equipment. Â
• May be required to work any shift, any and all days of the week, or overtime in the accordance with production and maintenance schedules. Â
• Reads and understands prints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions, and technical manuals. Â
• Maintains a neat, orderly work area. Â
• Follow instructions given in work logs, work orders, and equipment manuals. Â
• Supports and promotes CPS programs such as 5S and Centerlining throughout the plant. Â
• Give direction and training to lower bracketed mechanics as needed. Â
• Communicates and works with other associates in a positive manner. Â

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
