About the Role

Responsibilities
- Respond and process guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio)
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and utility shut offs for buildings
- Maintain required inventory and order necessary parts and supplies
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components
- Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering
- Use lockout/tagout system before performing maintenance work
- Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and exterior landscape sprinklers
Requirements

- Experience in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation and painting
- Valid Driver's License

Position Summary
- Respond and process guest repair requests.
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and utility shut offs for buildings.
- Maintain required inventory and order necessary parts and supplies.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication standards and programs.
- Have basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleaning of painting/repair areas.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclog toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guest room items.
- Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
Recommended Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: Experience in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation and painting.
- Hotel maintenance/engineering experience is an asset.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- License or Certification: Valid Driver's License
