About the Role
NES Global Talent seeks a Machinery Control Engineering Specialist to provide technical advisory and hands-on support for machinery control systems during EPC and startup phases in Qatar.

Responsibilities
- Support design reviews, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of machinery control systems (GE, CCC, DCS, DLN tuning)
- Review and validate control schemes for gas turbines, steam turbines, and VFD driven equipment to ensure reliability and cybersecurity
- Develop and review testing procedures (surge tests, performance runs, DLN tuning)
- Participate in FATs and verify equipment performance against design and OEM standards
- Support high risk commissioning activities, system tuning, and performance optimization
- Monitor contractor and vendor activities, ensuring compliance with project and operational standards
- Conduct failure analysis, support warranty resolution, and manage changes (MOC)
- Maintain issue registers and mitigate risks impacting reliability and availability
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (relevant discipline)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas or similar industry
- Strong expertise in machinery control systems (GE, CCC, DCS, DLN tuning)
- Strong problem solving and decision making under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and team coordination abilities
- Proficiency in technical and office applications

Job Purpose
