Machine Operator 1 Wiener - 2nd Shift

Reporting to the Wiener Plant Supervisor, the Wiener Plant Machine Operato r will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting the designated machine in a safe and proper manner, monitoring for mechanical problems or hazards, and conducting or arranging for maintenance as required.

This is an existing position in the company.

Shift: Tuesday-Friday- 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm / Saturday- 6:00 am - 2:30 pm This position will include training on other shifts as part of it's onboarding process

What you will be doing:

• Operating equipment including smokehouses, casing machines, packaging and other Ready To Eat food processing equipment.
• Performing assigned tasks in the designated department to ensure that the equipment is maintained and operates at optimal performance. Completes other department specific tasks as applicable.
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when necessary; dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment as needed for processing.
• Working closely with Department and Maintenance Supervisor, providing feedback as to how equipment is performing.
• Setting up equipment to required standards to ensure that all products manufactured in the department meet Company and customer requirements.
• Accurately and completely record the monitoring tasks in the related department records, including equipment cleaning and down time reports.
• Maintaining equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, according to GMPs.

What you will bring:

• Experience with machine operation, including adjusting, setting up, and simple preventative maintenance.
• Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc. is a strong asset.
