Role overview
Microsoft is seeking a Logistics Technician for its Cloud Operations and Innovation organization.
The role is based 100% onsite within a Microsoft data center.
The technician performs inventory, delivery, warranty, asset management, and data-bearing device handling activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform cycle audits, inventory and asset management tasks, and inbound and outbound delivery documentation.
- Coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors.
- Process warranty claims and failed vendor hardware, including packaging, shipment, and RMA returns.
- Maintain accurate logical inventory records in configuration management databases and asset repositories.
- Track and stage physical inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Destroy data-bearing devices according to service-level agreements and Microsoft policies.
- Notify management about stock shortages and escalate issues.
- Comply with security and data management policies.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma and at least one year of relevant industry experience, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience may include IT warehouse or supply chain work, logistics, inventory management, retail, or warehouse management.
