About the Role

- Plan, book, and track FCL and LCL sea shipments for raw materials and finished products
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Production Schedulers and Trading Desks to align shipping schedules
- Build and maintain relationships with ocean carriers and NVOCCs; negotiate freight rates and contract terms
- Proactively monitor container movements to minimize demurrage, detention, and storage fees
- Review and verify maritime documents for customs clearance
- Audit ocean freight invoices and track KPIs to identify cost saving opportunities
Requirements
- Experience in ocean freight end to end management including FCL and LCL shipments
- Knowledge of carrier and NVOCC relationship management and rate negotiation
- Familiarity with maritime documents such as Ocean Bill of Lading, Sea Waybill, COO, IMDG
- Ability to monitor container movements and control demurrage and detention fees
- Proficiency in freight audit and KPI tracking

Key Responsibilities
- Ocean Freight End to End Management: Plan, book, and track FCL and LCL sea shipments for both raw materials (inbound) and finished products (outbound).
- Production & Trade Alignment: Coordinate tightly with Manufacturing Production Schedulers and Trading Desks to align shipping schedules with factory lead times and client delivery deadlines.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with ocean carriers and NVOCCs; negotiate freight rates, surcharges, and contract terms.
- Demurrage & Detention Control: Proactively monitor container movements at ports and terminals to minimize and eliminate demurrage, detention, and storage fees.
- Customs & Documentation: Review and verify critical maritime documents (e.g., Ocean Bill of Lading, Sea Waybill, COO, IMDG/Dangerous Goods declarations if applicable) to ensure seamless customs clearance.
- Freight Audit & Analytics: Audit ocean freight invoices against quotes, track key performance indicators (KPIs) like transit time reliability, and identify cost saving opportunities.
