About the Role
MTRADING INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Freight Specialist with 5-10 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding to manage end-to-end international and domestic freight movements, negotiate rates, and ensure customs compliance in Dubai.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor international and domestic shipments from origin to final destination
- Handle all booking requests and accurately prepare/review critical shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin)
- Secure competitive freight rates and contract terms with carriers and freight forwarders; audit freight invoices for accuracy
- Ensure all shipments comply with local and international maritime, customs, and trade regulations (including Incoterms)
- Proactively track shipments, identify potential delays, and swiftly resolve transit issues or customs hold ups
- Work closely with Trading, Sales, and Finance teams to provide accurate freight quotes, ETAs, and logistics updates
Requirements
- 5 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Deep understanding of Incoterms, ocean freight operations, and customs clearance procedures
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- High level of problem solving agility
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Fluency in English

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Management: Coordinate and monitor international and domestic shipments from origin to final destination.
- Freight Booking & Documentation: Handle all booking requests and accurately prepare/review critical shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin).
- Cost & Rate Negotiation: Secure competitive freight rates and contract terms with carriers and freight forwarders; audit freight invoices for accuracy.
- Customs & Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with local and international maritime, customs, and trade regulations (including Incoterms).
- Issue Resolution: Proactively track shipments, identify potential delays, and swiftly resolve transit issues or customs hold ups.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Trading, Sales, and Finance teams to provide accurate freight quotes, ETAs, and logistics updates.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management—ideally within a global trading environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Expertise: Deep understanding of Incoterms, ocean freight operations, and customs clearance procedures.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, a high level of problem solving agility, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required.
