Job Objectives
Provide logistics support and oversee overall logistics processes in support of organizational objectives.
Oversee daily operations with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Apply knowledge of logistics and import/export requirements in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Select carriers, negotiate contracts and rates, and research shipping techniques, routes, and carriers.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Coordinate logistics with other departments and company procedures.
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures and obtain multiple quotes for cost avoidance.
- Update performance metrics, implement enhancements, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
- Coordinate with approved logistics forwarders and optimize transport methods and routes.
- Support invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and manifestos.
- Report shipment status and logistics issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related course.
- Minimum of two years of import/export experience using land, sea, and air freight in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
