Role Overview
Logistics role focused on customs documentation, clearance, trade compliance, and shipment processing.
Supports import and export operations in the UAE and GCC region.
Acts as a key contact for clients, customs authorities, freight forwarders, vendors, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit invoices, air waybills, packing lists, and HS codes.
- Use JDL and other customs platforms for documentation and compliance.
- Handle air, sea, and land import and export clearance, including FCL, LCL, break bulk, B2B, and B2C shipments.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, JAFZA and other free zones, and mainland UAE operations.
- Calculate duties and taxes, process timely payments, and maintain reconciled financial records.
- Prepare clearance fee invoices and coordinate with finance on disputes and collections.
- Manage client communication about customs procedures, duty obligations, and shipment updates.
- Monitor port-to-warehouse shipments, GCC cross-border logistics, truck allocation, and tracking.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven UAE experience in logistics, customs clearance, and trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, GCC trade laws, and HS code classification.
- Proficiency in JDL and other customs or billing systems.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
