Position Overview
The Logistics Manager manages at least one significant customer account.
The LM is responsible for coordinating the movement of all shipments for assigned customer account(s).
Day-to-day activities will include proactively identifying and resolving logistics issues as they arise, coordinating and driving the daily activities of team members and communicating directly with the customer to ensure exceptional service.
SimPL is looking for people who take ownership of their work, are driven, work well with various personality types and ensure individual, team and company goals are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with both the customer and core carriers that support the movement of assigned customer accounts’ shipments.
- Collaborate with the SimPL Account Managers to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Oversee and motivate team members to exhibit high performance in their respective roles.
- Ensure the successful movement of all shipments for dedicated customer accounts and handle any escalated operational issues related to assigned customer accounts.
