Role Description
The Logistics Director leads logistics strategy, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery operations.
The role is responsible for efficient movement of goods, cost control, service quality, and reliable supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, delivery, inventory movement, and storage operations.
- Monitor logistics costs, KPIs, service levels, shipment schedules, delivery performance, and service quality.
- Manage routes, schedules, fleet activities, logistics providers, carriers, suppliers, and service partners.
- Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, and service agreements.
- Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Manage logistics risks, delays, disruptions, and contingency plans.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with customs, transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, expenses, cost controls, reports, performance analysis, and management recommendations.
- Lead logistics teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
