Role Overview
Job requirements
• Coordinating and managing international and domestic freight movements across air, sea, road and courier networks.
• Monitoring shipments from origin through to final destination, proactively managing delays, exceptions and operational risks.
• Working closely with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and 3PL partners to support accurate and timely delivery.
• Owning and maintaining key logistics reports, dashboards and operational datasets.
• Analysing freight spend, shipment volumes, lead times, service performance and logistics trends to identify insights and opportunities.
• Supporting customs clearance activities, shipping documentation, tariff classification, country of origin and trade compliance requirements.
• Monitoring freight, carrier, customs broker and 3PL performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
• Supporting supplier performance reviews, tenders, rate negotiations and corrective action plans.
• Identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce manual activity and strengthen operational visibility.
• Supporting automation, AI and logistics technology initiatives, including system testing, implementation and process changes.
• Building strong working relationships across Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Retail, Digital, Wholesale and Planning.
Job responsibilities
• At least 3 years’ experience in logistics, international freight, supply chain or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of international air and sea freight operations.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers and/or 3PL providers.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem solving capability.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, data manipulation and analysis of large datasets.
• Experience developing operational reports, KPIs and performance analysis.
• Sound understanding of customs clearance, international shipping documentation and trade compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights for stakeholders.
• The ability to independently manage operational issues and competing priorities.
• Experience within fashion, luxury, retail or consumer goods, which would be highly regarded.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, freight management or supply chain technology platforms, which would be advantageous.
• Power BI or similar data visualisation experience, which would also be advantageous.
