Description & Requirements
- MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team located in the Fort Meade, MD area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Provide comprehensive administration and support for multi-platform operating system environments.
- Design and implement automated security hardening solutions to enhance scalability and streamline operating system deployments.
- Configure and maintain host-based security and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor system performance and investigate detected anomalies to ensure operational integrity.
- Develop and deploy automation scripts to manage server integration and reduce manual configuration errors.
- Analyze system and security logs to identify and respond to real-time events and provide status updates to leadership.
- Engineer automation workflows for identity and access management to replace manual account provisioning processes.
- Conduct regular audits to verify security compliance and identify potential vulnerabilities or configuration gaps.
- Participate in design and review meetings to provide technical insights, project goals, and status updates to management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 10+ years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or an Associate's degree with 15+ years’ experience.
- 10+ years of experience in systems administration of software and hardware supporting IT system development and testing.
- Extensive experience with Linux administration and enterprise-level operating systems.
- Experience utilizing Ansible or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.
