Light Gauge Steel (LGS) Structural Engineer – Modular Construction

Role Overview

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Applicants should have 5–10 years of experience in LGS or cold-formed steel structures.
• Proven modular or offsite construction experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of AISI, Eurocode, ASCE, and IBC is required.
• Experience with FrameCAD, Vertex, Tekla Structures, and Revit is required.
• Proficiency in STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, or STRAP is required.
• Strong understanding of connection design, bracing systems, load transfer, and tolerances is required.
• Coordination with factory, architectural, MEP, QA/QC, and project teams is required.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and analyze prefabricated modular building systems.
• Consider manufacturing, transportation, lifting, stacking, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate structural work with factory, architectural, MEP, QA/QC, and project teams.
• Apply practical buildability, manufacturability, and modular production knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCC or UAE modular project experience is preferred.
• Exposure to modular manufacturing and factory QA/QC workflows is preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation and lifting engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer certification is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 15,000–AED 16,000 per month.

• Work location is in person in the UAE.
