Minimum Required Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Required training and certifications include LEEA Certification and a diploma in Lifting Equipment Inspection with certification.
- Required specialty training includes Zone II hazardous-area equipment inspection, NDE, H2S, breathing apparatus, firefighting, basic first aid, and offshore/sea survival.
- Technical knowledge of lifts, elevators, escalators, lifting equipment, and handling equipment is required.
- The Lifting Surveyor scope requires a minimum of five years of inspection and certification experience.
- The Senior Lifting Surveyor scope requires a minimum of ten years of inspection and certification experience.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Conduct inspections and prepare reports.
- Apply knowledge of machinery operation and quality standards.
- Perform inspection and verification in accordance with quality standards and federal legal requirements.
- Manage time, communicate properly, provide dedicated service, and issue reports on time.
- Continually update knowledge of quality standards and study federal decrees relevant to the work scope.
