This AAA Four Diamond Casino Resort is seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety of our guests at the Wawyé Oasis, a large recreational and entertainment area with three separate pools for adults and families. The Lifeguard will prioritize guest safety while also assisting Pool Attendants in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool deck area when guests are not present in the pools.

Continuously monitor activities in and around the pool areas to ensure guest safety.
Enforce all pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, or other life-saving measures as necessary.
Maintain a high level of alertness at all times to identify and react to potential safety hazards.
Be trained and ready to handle emergency situations, including water rescues and medical emergencies.
Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to keep skills current and effective.
Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members during emergency situations.
Assist Pool Attendants in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool deck area, including arranging, and cleaning pool deck furniture, and managing the supply and handling of clean and dirty pool towels.
Conduct regular inspections of the pool areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are in safe and working condition.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Wawyé Manager immediately.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
Educate guests on pool safety and rules to promote a safe swimming environment.
Work closely with Pool Attendants and other Team Members to ensure the overall smooth operation of the pool areas.
Communicate effectively with Team Members to address any issues or concerns promptly.
All other duties as assigned.
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in a small area with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests.
Work is typically in an open space glass atrium, multiple pools with sunlight exposure, and an average 80-degree temperature year-round. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
