Position Summary

Monitor the swimming area and use appropriate rescue techniques for swimmers needing assistance.

Promote a safe, fun, and relaxing atmosphere for recreation facility guests.

Core Responsibilities

  • Observe for dangerous conditions, unsafe activities, and swimmers who are struggling.
  • Promote facility rules and notify management when guests may not be able to participate safely.
  • Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to a manager.
  • Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
  • Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.

Required Qualifications

  • CPR certification is required.
  • First Aid certification is required.
  • Fitness equipment certification or training is required as specified by the source.
  • Certifications or training required by applicable local and state agencies are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.

Work Conditions

  • This is a full-time, non-management position at the Dubai recreation facility.
  • The role requires extended standing, sitting, walking, and rapid movement in response to work situations.
  • The role includes lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance.
  • The role requires movement across slippery or uneven surfaces and use of ladders, stairs, or service ramps.
