Lifeguard Responsibilities
- Lead or assist with aquatic programming and swim lessons.
- Train other lifeguards and ensure health and safety legislation and codes of practice are followed.
- Check rescue equipment, emergency telephones, first-aid supplies, and trauma bags daily.
- Complete injured-person reports and record facility issues in the pool log book.
- Inspect the pool and surrounding areas for defects, hazards, and unsafe activities.
- Ensure guests are registered, understand facility rules, and know about available services and activities.
- Confirm pool testing is completed before guests use the facility.
- Monitor swimming activity, pool cleanliness, water temperature, and surrounding equipment.
- Use rescue techniques, rescue swimmers in danger, and administer first aid and emergency care.
- Caution swimmers about unsafe areas and restrict glassware near the pool.
- Maintain sun loungers, umbrellas, and the daily cleanliness of the pool area.
- Provide professional guest service and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
Safety Requirements
- Complete safety training and certifications as required by management.
- Follow applicable health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and facility policies.
- Maintain proper grooming and personal appearance in accordance with facility procedures.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,600 per month.
Workplace
- The role is performed in person at the pool and resort facility.
