Lifecycle Engineer supporting airline customers and civil aero engine operations across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The role reports to the Engineering Manager for EMEA and operates at the interface between customers, maintenance facilities and internal engineering teams.
The position is full time and hybrid, with an average of three days per week on site in Derby.
What you will be doing
- Provide customers with technical support on engine operation, maintenance, repair and technical queries.
- Investigate engine service events to determine root cause, containment and corrective actions.
- Create, develop and approve technical documentation that meets design and regulatory requirements.
- Improve interface management between regional, project, operations, overhaul and repair teams.
- Identify cost reductions and design changes based on service experience and maintainability requirements.
- Prepare technical presentations and reports for platform providers, regulators, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Gather in-service data and share best practice and learning with product design and future-programme teams.
Who we are looking for
- An engineering or numerical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in design, manufacturing and/or repair processes for aero gas turbine engines and components.
- Understanding or knowledge of EASA Part 21 and Part 145 certification requirements is desirable.
- Experience troubleshooting or resolving complex technical problems.
- Analytical, self-motivated and results-driven approach to novel and ambiguous tasks.
- Strong time-management, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
