Licensed Practical Nurse - Casual

Using collaborative nursing practices, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will deliver consistent clinical practice to meet the needs of the Resident and family in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The LPN plays a key role in providing leadership to the Health Care Aide (HCA) team through building relationships and trust, creating an empowering work environment, supporting the integration of knowledge, and by leading and sustaining change.

The LPN utilizes nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills to provide clinical supervision of Restricted Activities or routine activities of daily living (ADL) performed by the HCAs and care as required.

Performs other duties as required/assigned.

Graduate of a Practical Nurse program leading to a license by the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).

Current registration with the CLHA is required.
