Housekeeping Aide

Performs routine cleaning of resident/patient rooms, common areas and offices; sanitizes and cleans beds and furniture; vacuums, dry mops and wet mops floors; wipes furniture and fixtures; removes waste and restocks supplies.

Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Grade 10 education or recognized equivalent is required.

A Basic Caretaking Certificate is preferred.

A certificate course in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) is preferred.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and to follow written and oral directions.

Must pass CapitalCare literacy test.

One year of recent housekeeping experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
