Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, partnership agreements, vendor agreements, service contracts, and investment related documentation
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, and operational matters
- Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and business expansion initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards
- Advise executive leadership on legal risks associated with business transactions and strategic decisions
- Manage legal disputes, litigation, arbitration, claims, and settlement negotiations
- Oversee corporate governance matters, board support activities, legal filings, and regulatory reporting obligations
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, government authorities, regulators, and industry stakeholders
- Develop and maintain legal compliance programs, internal policies, and risk management frameworks
- Protect intellectual property, trademarks, confidential information, and corporate assets
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the company's business sectors and operations
- Provide legal training and guidance to management and operational teams
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree) from an accredited institution
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable legal authority or bar association
- Minimum 5+ years of legal experience in corporate, commercial, investment, real estate, industrial, or multinational business environments
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex legal matters across diverse business sectors
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and confidentiality

Position Overview
- The Legal Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor, providing expert guidance on corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, employment matters, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- This role will work closely with executive leadership and business unit leaders.

- Previous in house counsel experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of corporate governance best practices and compliance frameworks.
