Role Description
This part-time hybrid role is based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities.
Oversee adherence to laws and regulations affecting logistics operations, maintain internal policies, monitor regulatory changes, and advise stakeholders on compliance and risk mitigation.
Prepare and review legal documents, support contract management, coordinate with internal teams and external counsel, conduct audits, deliver training, and report compliance activities.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of law and legal issues relevant to logistics, transportation, and commercial operations.
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory and legal compliance, including implementing policies and monitoring adherence.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills for interpreting complex regulations and providing clear guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
- Professional legal qualification or compliance certification is an advantage.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related UAE or GCC industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee adherence to applicable laws and regulations affecting logistics operations.
- Draft, review, and maintain internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory changes, assess their business impact, and advise stakeholders on compliance requirements and risk mitigation.
- Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Support contract management and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel as needed.
- Conduct compliance audits and deliver training on legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of compliance activities.
