Lecturer (Computing)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in line with module specifications.
• Develop and update teaching materials and maintain digital learning resources.
• Set, mark, and moderate assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Act as a Personal Academic Tutor, offering group and one-to-one academic support.
• Monitor student engagement, progression, and wellbeing, referring to support services when needed.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes, including unit evaluations and programme reviews.
• Engage in scholarship to maintain subject expertise.
• Coordinate with colleagues and support teaching delivery as needed.

Essential Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience in higher education teaching and curriculum delivery.
• Strong digital capability and experience with technology-enhanced learning.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, manage competing priorities, and support student success.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and institutional values.
