Special Minds places Learning Support Assistants and one-to-one shadow teachers with children who have special educational needs.

The role supports one child in a classroom or home setting and helps the child access daily activities in Arabic and English.

Provide one-to-one support for a child in a mainstream classroom or at home.
Follow individual behaviour, communication, learning, or support goals set with the SENCO or family.
Communicate comfortably in spoken and written Arabic and English with the child, family, school, and therapy team.
Submit a short session record within 24 hours of each session.
Maintain regular contact with the school's SEN team or family and the Special Minds coordinator.
Follow the school calendar and daily timetable, or agreed home hours.

Fluent and confident Arabic and English are required because both languages are used in the role.
A relevant qualification or progress toward one in psychology, education, special needs, early years, or teaching is sought.
Experience with children is required; SEN experience is advantageous, while classroom or childcare experience is a suitable starting point.
Patience and comfort with gradual, repeated progress are important for the role.
