The role manages learning and development activities within the hotel’s People & Culture function.
The position supports training administration, facilitation, onboarding, certification, audits, and cross-training activities.
Training administration
- Compile and update training manuals, tools, attendance lists, training records, and employee training history files.
- Manage intern files, offer letters, onboarding tracking, and final certificate issuance.
- Manage training nominations and attendance through the learning management system.
- Maintain up-to-date hard-copy and electronic training documentation.
Training delivery and operations
- Facilitate training sessions and create printed and instructional training materials.
- Book and prepare training rooms, including BEO preparation when required.
- Prepare training, recognition, cross-training, and Rixos training certificates.
- Conduct IFH training for restaurant reservations, spa, sales, and operator teams.
- Conduct new-hire orientation show-arounds and audit departmental briefings three times per week.
People and community activities
- Follow up with departments on training nominations and coordinate cross-training and cross-exposure tracking.
- Prepare posters and arrangements for hotel CSR activities and maintain event records and purchase orders.
- Implement and evaluate training practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality or Hotel Management, or Business Administration.
- Certified Trainer or Train-the-Trainer qualification, particularly from an international hotel brand.
- Two to five years of learning and development experience.
Required capabilities
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Training Needs Analysis, presentation and facilitation, and training evaluation skills.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, learning management systems, and multicultural teams.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, dependability, and appropriate workplace presentation.
- Hotel operations experience, especially in five-star hotels, is strongly preferred.

The role is based at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, a hotel with 378 guest rooms and extensive hospitality, food and beverage, and entertainment offerings.
