Lead Windows Server Admin -Vulnerability Management

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to bridge client's functional and technical requirements at the module level by assisting in outlining technical specifications, performing basic configuration, and troubleshooting initial system issues.

Areas of Responsibility        Â

Requirement Gathering-Understand the functional requirements and assist in translating these into technical specifications.

Configuration and Customisation-"Assist in performing coding, configuration, and minor customisations as per defined design and development standards."

Technology Harmonisation-Support integration testing by validating interface behaviour and identifying basic issues.

Troubleshooting and optimisation-Support troubleshooting activities and help resolve basic technical issues related to performance or configuration of a specific module.

Documentation-Assist in preparing user documentation, configuration notes, and testing artefacts for a specific module.

• Install, troubleshoot, update, and uninstall applications, operating system patches, and security updates. • Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities identified through tools such as Tenable. • Coordinate maintenance windows and schedule remediation activities with end users and business stakeholders. • Troubleshoot patching, application, and system issues to ensure successful remediation. • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and/or Python. • Validate remediation efforts and provide status reporting and documentation. • Support Windows server and desktop environments, Active Directory, and virtual infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience • Experience with Windows Server and Windows desktop administration. • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. • Experience with PowerShell and Python scripting. • Experience with SCCM, Intune, Patch My PC, and Tenable. • Experience with Active Directory, VMware, and SQL environments. • Ability to work directly with end users and technical teams to coordinate remediation activities. Preferred Skills • Linux administration experience. • Azure experience, including Azure Networking and Azure Monitor. • Experience supporting enterprise vulnerability management and patching programs.
