Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

This is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, Monday to Thursday, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.

As the Lead Warehouse & Logistics , you will be responsible for strategically optimising warehouse and logistics performance to ensure safe, reliable and commercially effective materials movement across site and broader operations. You will lead a team of two employees in the day-to-day operations.

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

Strong warehouse, logistics or supply chain experience in operational environments.

Values-led leadership across large, diverse or multidisciplinary teams.

Proven safety, risk and contractor management capability.

Commercial mindset with strong stakeholder influence and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications for this position are:

Tertiary qualification or post-secondary studies in Business, or relevant industry experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or a related discipline.

SAP systems experience.

Continuous improvement or lean methodology exposure desirable.
