Role Overview
Lead validation of next-generation automation controller product lines and I/O modules.
Use industrial automation control system expertise to improve testing productivity and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners to derive validation requirements and verification plans.
- Develop system tests from product definition through production release.
- Create test strategies and derive requirements from product and system specifications.
- Design test systems and automated test fixtures for adequate test coverage.
- Use PLC programming languages, industrial protocols, and automation scripts in system-level testing.
- Present architecture, design, and technical risk details to peers and managers.
- Work with technical architects on complex technical issues.
Technical Skills
- Use Ladder, FBD, SFC, and scripting languages for automation testing.
- Work with MODBUS TCP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, IEC 61850, IEC 104, and DNP3 protocols.
- Use Python and basic C# or C++ for test automation.
- Apply knowledge of PLCs, DCS, I/O modules, and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Understand product development lifecycle stages and waterfall and agile projects.
