Lead Structural Engineer

Role Overview

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with disciplines and contractors on drawings, specifications, and design deliverables.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to understand design and construction relationships.
• Attend construction and design verification walks and submit observation reports.
• Prepare structural calculations and finite element models under senior engineer supervision.
• Lead reports and construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and design basic structural components.
• Coordinate structural models and drawings with other design disciplines.
• Mentor interns and junior project team members.
• Participate in developing office standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• At least 8 years of experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree is preferred.
• A Professional Engineering or Structural Engineering license is preferred.
• An NCEES Record is preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor, microelectronic, biolife science, or data center facilities is preferred.
• Experience with Design-Build, structural analysis software, Autodesk Building Systems, or consulting engineering is preferred.
